Learning in Action

From designing interactive courses to improving processes and using data to guide decisions, my goal is always the same, to help people learn better so they can perform at their best.

Due to the proprietary nature of my work and the companies I’ve worked with, samples are not publicly available.

ADP Workforce Now & Workforce Manager Training

Developed a comprehensive training program to support employees transitioning to ADP Workforce Now and Workforce Manager, enabling a smooth adoption of new HR, payroll, and timekeeping systems.

Tools Used
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Clipchamp, Paint, SharePoint

The Challenge
The organization was implementing new systems that introduced unfamiliar processes for employees. They needed clear, accessible training to reduce confusion, minimize support requests, and help employees quickly become self-sufficient.

My Approach
I led the instructional design process using the ADDIE framework, starting with a targeted needs assessment to identify high-priority training topics. I designed a consistent, branded learning experience by creating reusable templates aligned with company standards. My focus was on simplifying complex workflows into clear, step-by-step guidance that could support learners with varying levels of technical experience. To ensure accessibility and adoption, I collaborated with IT to deploy the training materials via SharePoint, making resources easy to find and use at the moment of need.

The Solution

  • Developed 57 video tutorials demonstrating key system tasks
  • Created 62 step-by-step PDF job aids
  • Covered core areas including payroll, HR processes, and time & attendance
  • Designed content to support both guided learning and quick reference

The Impact
The training enabled employees to independently complete common tasks, such as updating personal information and managing direct deposit, reducing reliance on HR and improving overall efficiency.

Getting Started with Wondershare‘s Filmora9 Training Series

This ongoing project showcases my approach to designing and developing effective learning materials through a multi-format training solution. The project includes a training handout, instructional video, and PowerPoint presentation, all designed to support learners with varying experience levels and learning styles.

Tools Used
Wondershare Filmora 9, Microsoft Clipchamp, Word, PowerPoint

The Challenge
The goal of this training is to introduce users to Wondershare Filmora 9 and provide clear, step-by-step guidance on navigating the interface and performing basic tasks. The content is structured to be concise, easy to follow, and immediately applicable.

My Approach
This project reflects my focus on:

  • Clear, concise language
  • Structured, step-by-step instruction
  • Supporting multiple learning styles through blended content (video, written, and visual)
  • Creating practical, task-based learning experiences

The materials are intentionally designed to be direct, user-friendly, and accessible, ensuring learners can quickly understand and apply the concepts.

The Solution

The Impact
The materials are intentionally designed to be direct, user-friendly, and accessible, ensuring learners can quickly understand and apply the concepts.

This is an ongoing personal project, with additional modules and enhancements planned.

Using Google Analytics to Improve Learning Engagement

Analyzed usage data for over 300 embedded “Learning Bytes” (3–5 minute training videos) within ADP Workforce Now to optimize content maintenance and improve overall training efficiency.

Tools Used
Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel

The Challenge
With frequent product updates, maintaining over 300 training videos was time-consuming and resource-intensive. The team lacked visibility into which content was actively being used, making it difficult to prioritize updates or retire outdated materials.

My Approach
I leveraged Google Analytics to track learner engagement and identify usage patterns across all Learning Bytes. I ran monthly and annual reports to analyze key metrics, including content views and user activity. I then exported the data into Excel, where I organized and filtered the information to highlight trends and actionable insights. To support decision-making, I translated the data into clear, easy-to-understand reports for stakeholders and leadership.

The Solution

  • Conducted ongoing analytics reporting to track content usage
  • Developed Excel-based dashboards to visualize engagement trends
  • Identified high-value content to prioritize for updates
  • Flagged low-usage content for potential retirement

The Impact
This data-driven approach reduced the volume of content requiring maintenance, allowing the team to focus efforts on the most impactful training materials. It improved efficiency, reduced redundant work, and ensured resources were aligned with actual learner needs.

Articulate Rise Content Governance & “Librarian” Model

Designed and implemented a content management process for Articulate Rise to prevent loss of training materials and improve long-term maintainability across multiple business units.

Tools Used
Articulate 360 Rise, SharePoint

The Challenge
Articulate Rise content is tied to individual user accounts. When employees left the organization without transferring ownership, critical training materials were lost. As a result, teams were often forced to recreate courses from scratch, leading to inefficiencies, duplicated effort, and inconsistent content management practices.

My Approach
The management team determined the root cause as a lack of ownership structure and governance and introduced a centralized “librarian” model to ensure content continuity. I established dedicated, shared Rise accounts for each of the six business units, allowing content to remain accessible regardless of individual employee turnover. To support this model, I partnered with instructional designers across teams and implemented a structured check-in/check-out process for course editing. I also initiated and led weekly working sessions to align on standards, define roles and responsibilities, and resolve any challenges.

The Solution

  • Implemented a centralized content ownership model using shared Rise accounts
  • Established a check-in/check-out process to manage course edits
  • Collaborated with six business units to standardize workflows
  • Led weekly governance meetings to ensure alignment and continuous improvement

The Impact
This solution eliminated the risk of losing training content due to employee turnover and significantly reduced the need to recreate courses. It also improved collaboration, consistency, and efficiency across teams.
